As a partner of system suppliers of intelligent fire protection concepts, we manufacture high-tech fabrics and needle mats that are used in smoke curtains and fire protection doors. These fabrics are tested for a single smoke exposure at a temperature of 600°C for up to 120 minutes. Fire protection closures form a barrier between the fire area and the area to be protected. HKO also offers innovative passive fire protection solutions for large (industrial) buildings with photovoltaic systems in order to avoid roof fires and their devastating effects.

Fire doors
Textile fire protection doors offer good integration into architectural requirements and functional freedom. Additionally, they are characterized by low space requirements and light weight. The functionality of fire protection doors lies in preventing the passage of fire, containing fire, maintaining smoke-free escape routes, and reducing fire damage.
As a supplier for manufacturers of textile fire protection doors, we use materials such as THERMO-E glass fabric, reinforced with V4A, coated with silicone or a special fire protection coating (F120) in production. In some constructions, needle mats are used as filling. We also offer intumescent-coated fabrics, which provide even better protection for the final manufactured fire protection door, depending on the application needs.
Smoke curtains
Smoke curtains are needed in large buildings to limit the spread of smoke due to a fire. They are ideal for exhibition and storage halls, production buildings, shops, shopping centers, parking garages, and airports. Smoke curtains prevent the cooling of smoke and its descent to the floor, which would mean the spread of smoke throughout the hall and massive complication in fire brigade operations. Escape and rescue routes are kept significantly longer free of smoke in the event of a fire by using HKO smoke curtains and are an indispensable part of passive fire protection in large buildings.
